The mother of two is in town to promote her new film The Paperboy, will be screened later in the week.
The film is being described as an 'explosive sexual thriller,' and Kidman sheds her usual 'English rose' look of fair skin and red hair, for a golden tan, heavy make-up and a platinum wig for the part.
Her young co-star Zac Efron has described his love scenes with the Australian star as the 'highlight of my life.'
The Paperboy tells the story of Jack James, played by Efron - the son of the Moat County Tribune's editor and publisher.

While Jack's older brother, Ward, reports for the Miami Times, Jack has settled for a job delivering papers for the Tribune.
But when Ward and his partner, evil dandy Yardley Acheman, come to Moat County to investigate the four-year-old murder of the local sheriff, Jack assists them in the inquiry.
Nicole, meanwhile, stars as Charlotte Bless in the movie - a woman who writes letters to death row inmates amd who is having a correspondence with the murder suspect, played by John Cusack.
The movie is based on the novel by Peter Dexter, who wrote the screenplay for Mulholland Falls.
The movies director, Lee Daniels recently revealed that casting the film 'was a circus.'
He told the The Hollywood Reporter: 'It was crazy. We kept losing actors because we kept pushing the start date. We started out with one cast and ended up with another. We started out with Tobey Maguire and Sofia Vergara and Bradley Cooper and we ended up with Zac Efron and Matthew McConaughey and Nicole Kidman.
'I think the universe plays it exactly as its supposed to,' Lee added.
'I couldnt be prouder of each of the actors in the film. They serviced author Pete [Dexter]s characters magnificently.'
