Some men just can't help themselves from staring at a woman's cleavage.

And Nicole Kidman's colleagues took things a little further when they appeared to be talking to her chest at the premiere of Hemingway & Gellhorn in Cannes tonight.

The 44-year-old actress arrived at the screening in a plunging Ralph Lauren gown that glittered thanks to extensive sequin embellishment.

As the Australian star posed up with the cast and crew of the film it seemed like the men stood next to her were having a conversation with her chest.

The film's director Phillip Kaufman had leaned across the actress to speak to Clive Owen but given Nicole's height it appeared like they were in fact in deep conversation with her cleavage.

Nicole was seen bowing her head down perhaps to listen in on the chat or maybe she was aware of how the situation may appear.

As well as showing off a bit of flesh at the front the glittering gown also boasted a low cut at the back.

Nicole had her hair pinned back off her face with a few and tight curls at the back.

The gown showed off plenty of Nicole's skin which appeared to be translucent.

Her pale body appeared to be almos! t comple tely blemish free which is remarkable given her age.

At one point Nicole was seen staring at Clive but her fixed expression gave little away about her thoughts on her co-star.

There's little doubt that the film brought Nicole, Clive and Phillip and the pair were seen holding hands as they posed for photographers.

In fact the director was even seen offering his hand to Nicole to help her up the steps and into the theatre.

Earlier today Nicole had 44, turned up to a photo call for the film working a sexy Mad Men-style checked dress.

Gathered at the waist with a thick black belt, Nicole's ensemble was very similar to the sort of thing often sported by stars January Jones and Christina Hendricks on the hit show.

Nicole wore her hair in soft waves, pinned back at the front and falling loose around her shoulders.

She kept her make-up simple and summery, with a sweep of blush, pink lipstick and mascara.
