HARPER'S BAZAAR Australia has secured a world first for its June/July issue out today - iconic Australian actress Nicole Kidman features on the cover holding her daughter Faith Margaret.

There are covers that you know will live on forever, and not just on the coffee tables of our BAZAAR readers but in the memories of everyone who sees it. This is one such cover, says editor Edwina McCann in her editors letter.

The intimate mother-daughter snaps were originally taken purely for Kidmans personal family album and were not intended for publication.

When McCann saw the images, she wanted BAZAARs readers to also experience their beauty.

They are magic, raw and full of intense love, and clearly show her devotion to her children. ! I went t o work convincing her they deserved to be published, writes McCann in the issue.

Kidman eventually agreed, saying: You cant see their faces; theyre still protected. I feel its a really lovely way to celebrate being a mum and being a family.

The June/July 2012 issue of Harpers BAZAAR is on sale today.
