Nicole Kidman Urinates On Zac Efron In Paperboy Film

Image
This years Cannes Film Festival was memorable for many reasons, but surely the most headline-worthy moment came courtesy of Paperboy , a film in which Nicole Kidmans character urinates on Zac Efron . The peeing-on-Efron scene, as it will surely be known to students of cinma vrit in decades to come, doesnt seem that gratutitous. In the film, Efrons character is attacked by a jellyfish and needs the urine to stop the pain. Apparently other women offer to provide the service, but Kidmans character wins the right to shower Efron with the line, If anyones gonna pee on you, its going to be me. See? Just a mundane, everyday scenario. And before you ask, yes, it was the real thing. Anyway, Paperboy director Lee Daniels has since talked about filming the scene to GQ magazine, stating: First of all, it was really hard to shoot. It was the third day. The first scene we shot was the sex scene with John [Cusack and Kidman]. I like to get that right out of the way. The second day was the telepath...

Nic fought for pee scene

Director Lee Daniels almost cut a controversial scene in which Nicole Kidman appears to urinate on Zac Efron from new movie The Paperboy, because he thought he had "gone too far" with the shoot. The big screen adaptation of Pete Dexter's book of the same name was met with mixed reviews when Daniels premiered the thriller at the Cannes Film Festival in France. Many reporters were turned off by the sight of the Oscar winner relieving herself on Efron to treat a jellyfish sting. Precious director Daniels admits the scene was nearly left on the cutting room floor and it was Kidman herself who convinced him to keep it in the movie. "I got nervous at the end, after we shot it. So I called Nicole," he told GQ magazine. "First of all, it was really hard to shoot. It was the third day. The first scene we shot was the sex scene with John (Cusack and Kidman). I like to get that right out of the way. The second day was the telepathic sex scene in the prison. And the th...

Nicole Kidman shares about 'Paperboy' standing ovation at Cannes

Image
While Nicole Kidman has received varied reactions to her films at the Cannes Film Festival, and her fifth appearance there was noteworthy. The Hollywood Reporter quoted Kidman saying, "We got an amazing standing ovation, which was great. This is my fifth time [at Cannes], so I've had many, many, many different reactions. That's the longest standing 'O' I've ever gotten at Cannes." The standing ovation for The Paperboy allegedly lasted for 15 minutes, moving co-star Zac Efron and director Lee Daniels to tears. Kidman, however, remained composed. "Lee was crying, but I wasn't crying. I cry at my kids, I cry with my family, I don't really cry outside of that that's the stuff that brings me to tears! All of this other stuff, the glitter, and those sort of things, I'm more sort of immune to at this stage. It's probably because I've been doing it for so long." The film didn't win any awards or nominations at the festival,...

Nicole Kidman Demanded The Paperboy Director Keep Her Golden Shower Scene

Image
May 29th, 2012 | 6:00 pm by Halle Kiefer Not counting every second of The Avengers, we have a sneaking suspicion that Nicole Kidman going number one on Zac Efron is going to be our number one movie moment of the summer. See what we did there? According to the films director Lee Daniels , however, he almost chickened out and yanked the Oscar-winners (non-sexual) golden shower moment out of fear. I got nervous at the end, after we shot it, Daniels told GQ . Right before I sent it off to Cannes, I called Nicole at three in the morning. I said, Nicole, I cant do it, Ive gone too far. I cant put that scene in the movie. Man, if Nicole Kidman had a million dollars for every time a nervous Less Daniels called her in the middle of the night to talk about peeing on Zac Efronoh, wait a minute, she does! Luckily for us, Kidman wasnt about to let a little thing like social decorum or sheer grossness stand in the way of cinematic greatness. Lee, you made me pee on Zac Efron, Kidman allegedly ...

Hemingway was known for great novels like For Whom the Bell Tolls , The Sun Also Rises and A Farewell to Arms . Gellhorn was a journalist focused on war coverage. In an interview with USA Today , Kidman said, "I had no idea about this woman, who was so courageous and brave in her exploration of humanity." Nicole Kidman 'immune' to emotional film premieres

Nicole Kidman has explained her reserved response to the lengthy standing ovation her new film The Paperboy received following its big premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, admitting she's become "immune" to the emotion tied to such events. Director Lee Daniels and Kidman's co-star Zac Efron were moved to tears by the loud applause which erupted as soon as the end credits rolled, but the Oscar winner raised eyebrows as she remained dry-eyed throughout the 15-minute-long reception. But that doesn't mean The Hours star doesn't appreciate the positive feedback - she's just learned to keep her emotions in check when it comes to promoting her movie projects. She tells the Associated Press , "We got an amazing standing ovation, which was great. This is my fifth time (at Cannes), so I've had many, many, many different reactions. That's the longest standing 'O' I've ever gotten at Cannes. "Lee was crying, but I wasn't crying. I ...

Scott D. Pierce: Nicole Kidman says sex during wartime is awesome on film, that is In the fact-based HBO movie "Hemingway & Gellhorn," the two title characters make passionate love in the midst of the Spanish Civil War. Really passionate love while bombs explode and the building collapses around them. And it was "awesome," according to Nicole Kidman, who stars as acclaimed war correspondent Martha Gellhorn, the third wife of Ernest Hemingway (Clive Owen). "It really emphasizes that they came together through war," said Kidman. "They fed off that drama and that energy, in a way. Two people that would make love through a building collapsing, that says something about who they are." Cant really argue with that. Gellhorns name doesnt ring down through the years the way Hemingways does, but she is far more than just the third of his four wives. She was one of the great war correspondents of the 20th century, a pioneer who covered everything from ...

Celebrity Column: Nicole Kidman comes back to TV for 'Hemingway & Gellhorn'

Nicole Kidman , who hasnt worked in television for more than 20 years, is set to reappear on the small screen Monday in the HBO project Hemingway & Gellhorn . In the movie, Kidman plays Martha Gellhorn , a prominent war correspondent in the 20th century who was also Ernest Hemingway s third wife. I dont get to read many scripts that are going to be made that are driven by a woman, Kidman, 44, told the Los Angeles Times about her interest in the movie. Shes a woman who sacrifices a lot, who doesnt compromise, for a force she feels inside her, which is to tell the stories of people around her. The movie, which also stars Clive Owen and is directed by Philip Kaufman , follows the couples tumultuous love story and includes an intimate scene set as a building crumbles around them. It's awesome, Kidman told McClatchy Newspapers of filming the scene. It really emphasizes that they came together through war. They fed off that drama and that energy, in a way. The 44-year-old actress claimed that she sent texts containing shots of herself to persuade Daniels to cast her in the film's leading role as Charlotte Bless. Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival, Kidman recalled candidly: ''Lee said, 'Look, we've got no money, you're going to have to do your own hair and make-up'. ''So I actually went into my bathroom and I got out the fake tan and put on fake eyelashes and got a hairpiece thing that was platinum, threw it all on and texted a photo to Lee in all these different provocative positions. "That's how it came together. What he sent back I can't say, but it was a thumbs up." By Holly Thomas PUBLISHED: 17:43 EST, 25 May 2012 | UPDATED: 17:44 EST, 25 May 2012 Some men just can't help themselves from staring at a woman's cleavage. And Nicole Kidman's colleagues took things a little further when they appeared to be talking to her chest at the premiere of Hemingway & Gellhorn in Cannes tonight. The 44-year-old actress arrived at the screening in a plunging Ralph Lauren gown that glittered thanks to extensive sequin embellishment. I'm not down there! Nicole Kidman was seen bending her head down as director Phillip Kaufman and Clive Owen appeared to be having a conversation with her chest As the Australian star posed up with the cast and crew of the film it seemed like the men stood next to her were having a conversation with her chest. The film's director Phillip Kaufman had leaned across the actress to speak to Clive Owen but given Nicole's height it appeared like they were in fact in deep conversation with her cleavage. Nicole Kidman sexy texts to director

Nicole Kidman sent 'provocative' text messages to Lee Daniels to land her role in 'Paperboy'. The director was reluctant to cast such a big-name actress in the low-budget movie - which sees Zac Efron and Matthew McConaughey play two brothers investigating the case of a death row inmate played by John Cusack - so Nicole went to extreme lengths to get him to agree to cast her as a sex-crazed woman obsessed with marrying a convicted killer. She explained: 'Lee said, 'Look, we've got no money, you're going to have to do your own hair and make-up. 'So I actually went into my bathroom and I got out the fake tan and put on fake eyelashes and got a hairpiece thing that was platinum, threw it all on and texted a photo to Lee in all these different provocative positions. On screen, Nicole Kidman never plays it safe

CANNES, FRANCE Im not interested in being safe, and Im willing to fail because of that, Nicole Kidman declares, not a shred of doubt in her voice. I feel very ashamed when I do something safe. That may sound like the easy thing for an actress to say sitting in a quiet cabana at the luxurious Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. But throughout her career, which includes three Oscar nominations, Kidman has always walked that particular walk as well as talked it and never more so than this year. Kidman has two films showing this year at the Cannes Film Festival (Philip Kaufmans Hemingway & Gellhorn and Lee Daniels The Paperboy), and they showcase her in roles that couldnt be more wildly different. As far as Kidman is concerned, that is a very good thing. The diversity of characters is the thing Im most interested in, she says. I dont think I do well playing myself. In Hemingway & Gellhorn, Kidman plays journalist Martha Gellhorn, married to the novelist (played by Clive Owen) for five years bu...
