Nicole Kidman sizzles in a cream suit as she and Keith Urban attend party to honour Olympians

It was an Australian invasion on Saturday, with Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban taking to the red carpet.

Donning suits, the fashionable pair were all smiles in West Los Angeles, California at the Gold For Golden event.

The Paperboy actress certainly looked as good as gold in her tailored off white suit.

The slim fitting suit included crop white pants which showed off Nicole's unusual lace up heels.

Her footwear ensured she towered over her country crooner husband Kieth.

The 45-year-old singer also wore a suit, but played it safe and wore a black one with a white open collar shirt.

Joining the well-suited pair on the red carpet was Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea Hurley.

Obviously Jon and Kieth did not consult each other before turning up to event - held at luxury gym Equinox - as the Living On a Prayer singer also spor! ted a black suit jacket with an open collared white shirt.

The pop rocker kept his look a bit more casual than his Australia counterpart, teaming the jacket with blue jeans.

His wife of 23 years also went for a more laid back look donning black jeans and a black turtle neck.

The celebrities were at the event to honour a number of America's top Olympians including Ryan Lochte and gymnast Gabby Douglas.

Nicole certainly made sure to shine like the Olympians' medals. The 45-year-old wore pink lips and rosy cheeks and her hair was done in unusual updo which was loosely pinned at the back of her head.

Giving her masculine outfit a feminine edge, the actress accessorised her look with large gold and orange-stoned earrings.

While Nicole and Keith barely let go of each other's hands at the event, the actress told Ellen DeGeneres on her show this week that it actually took her husband of six years a while to fall for her.

'I'm like, ''You didn't love me at f! irst sigh! t, you didn't notice me,'' and he's like, ''Yes I did but I just didn't let on,'' but we kind of met and then about four months later he called me,' Nicole said.

'That's a long time. That's why I'm like, ''You really didn't like me when you first met me.'' He said he had other things he had to take care...Guys right, men?'
