Nicole Kidman denies demanding Keith Urban 'American Idol' curfew

Nicole Kidman has denied a tabloid claim that she set "strict rules" in order for husband Keith Urban to join American Idol.

Urban signed on as the latest American Idol judge in September alongside Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and the returning Randy Jackson.

He was recently the subject of a Star report, in which a supposed friend said that Kidman exerted her "controlling ways" before Urban signed his Idol contract.

The informant said: "He has to be home for dinner at 6:30 sharp - no exceptions... Keith was a really good sport about it for a while.

"But there's not a man alive who would want his wife to start ordering his bosses around."

Kidman's spokesperson has now insisted to Gossip Cop that the Star article is totally untrue.

Urban and Kidman celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary on June 25. They are parents to two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
