Nicole Kidman movie to premiere in 2012 Cannes Film Festival, line-up revealed!

The full line-up for the 2012 Cannes Film Festival which will run from May 16 25th has been announced.

Wes Andersons Moonrise Kingdom will open the festival and Therese D, the last film from director Claude Miller, starring Audrey Tautou, will close it.

Australia will be racing for Cannes gold this year with Nicole Kidman and Kylie Minogue lighting up the red carpet and two directors from Down Under competing for the Palme dOr.

Kidman stars in the 1960s-set thriller The Paperboy by Lee Daniels, alongside Zac Efron and John Cusack.

As we expected, David Cronenbergs Cosmopolis confirmed earlier this morning, Walter Salles On The Road starring Garett Hedlund, Sam Riley, Kristen Stewart and Jacques Audiards latest drama, Rust & Bone starring Marion Cotillard, Michael Hanekes Amour and Abbas Kiarostamis Like Someone In Love will premiere in Cannes. They all will compete for Palme DOr.

John Hillcoats Lawless starring Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain and many others, Lee Daniels The Paperboy with Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron and Andrew Dominiks Killing Them Softly, previously known as Cogans Trade, starring Brad Pitt are in the same Cannes In Competition category.

When it comes to the Out of Competition and Un Certain Regard selections, Philip Kaufmans Hemingway & Gellhorn, Xavier Dolans Lau! rence An yways and 7 Days In Havana will have that honor to be presented at the 65th Cannes Film Festival.
