Nicole Kidman Is 'Too Intense' As She Talks Marriage And Work

Nicole Kidman has admitted that she is highly emotionally responsive - and as an actress, it can be a curse as well as a blessing. In an interview with You Magazine, she said "My mother was a nurse and she knows how important it is to have some distance. She'd say 'Nicole, you are too intense, it's too much, walk away. When I was in the UN, one of the field workers took me aside because I was so emotionally wrecked by it. But I think this ability to get involved so quickly has helped me with acting."

She also spoke out about her relationship with husband Keith Urban. "I want a very deep, monogamous relationship and I am very fortunate because I adore him. I love him and it's that simple. It's going to look really corny in print and I can't believe I am saying it, but it's the truth!"

Nicole has two daughters, Faith and Sunday Rose, with Keith, as well as Connor and Isabella, the children she adopted with Tom Cruise. Earlier in the year, she told WHO magazine that the split with Tom led to "the loneliest, loneliest existence" saying "it took me a very long time to heal."

Nicole will soon be hitting the big screen in new movie 'The Paperboy', and will soon be appearing in Philip Kaufman's TV biopic 'Hemingway and Gelhorn', a story about journalist Martha Gelhorn and her affair with novelist and writer Ernest Hemingway.
