Nicole Kidman Takes Off From Australia With Keith and the Girls

Previous 1 / 16 Next Posted on March 29, 2012 6:29AM by Allie Merriam Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban boarded a flight out of Sydney yesterday afternoon with daughters Faith and Sunday. It was the latest adventure for the jet-setting foursome, who were together in the US just a few weeks ago. All the intercontinental travel allows the family to be together while Keith is busy filming an Australian edition of The Voice . He's one of the mentors on the program, along with Joel Madden , Delta Goodrem, and Seal. They're heading back to America so that Keith can perform at Sunday's Academy of Country Music Awards , which will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The show will be broadcast Sunday evening at 7 p.m. on CBS. Keith will be on stage along with many of his fellow musical superstars, including Carrie Underwood , Miranda Lambe! rt, Tim McGraw , and Blake Shelton. Back to Story

Korean company Cockatoo Coal wants to drill 120 holes as part of a bore testing scheme in the area of Sutton Forest, where the Hollywood actress and her country singer husband own an expansive estate. Many residents are furious about the plans, and now the celebrity couple has added its weight to the campaign. Kidman and Urban recently bought a sign from a local market, and have pinned the placard on the gates of their property, reports The Sunday Telegraph . Peter Martin, the Southern Highlands Coal Action Group convener, says, "We sold them the sign for $20 when they visited the Moss Vale Farmers Market one Saturday morning on their last visit here." The celebrity couple have hung a placard on the gates of their multi-million-dollar Southern Highlands home in protest against coal seam gas mining, according to News Ltd. The Sunday Telegraph says the sign was bought from a protest stall set up at the Moss Vale Farmers Market last month. A photo in the newspaper shows the sign on the black gates at the front of the couple's property in Sutton Forest. The sign says 'No coal or Coal Seam Gas'. Local landholders are campaigning against plans to expand coal and gas mining operations in the area. Southern Highlands Coal Action Group convener Peter Martin has told the newspaper that Kidman and Urban had spoken about their concerns regarding the proposed mining activity in the area at the stall last month.
